Do I need a prescription to wear coloured contact lenses?

No. Our lenses are cosmetic, plano (zero-power) lenses, so they do not require a prescription and do not correct vision. If you also need vision correction, see our note on wearing them with prescription lenses below.

Will these lenses fit my eyes?

Most people find standard coloured contact lenses comfortable, but eye shape and curvature vary from person to person. If you have never worn contact lenses before, or you are unsure, an optometrist can check your eyes and confirm contact lens wear is suitable and comfortable for you before you buy.

Are coloured contact lenses safe?

Our lenses are manufactured to ISO 13485 and Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) standards. Like any contact lens, they are safe when you follow good hygiene and wear practices: wash your hands, use only fresh contact lens solution, do not exceed 8 hours wear, never sleep in them, and never share lenses. How long do the lenses last, and can I reuse them?

This depends on the product you buy, so check the listing and the packaging for the wear duration (for example, yearly or monthly lenses) and expiry date. Reusable lenses can be worn multiple times within their rated period provided you clean and store them properly between wears, but should never be worn past their expiry date.

What if my lenses hurt or feel uncomfortable?

Take the lens out straight away. Mild dryness can sometimes be fixed with a fresh lens and a drop of contact lens solution, but pain, redness, blurred vision or discharge are signs to stop wearing lenses and see an optometrist or doctor. Do not push through discomfort.

Will these suit dark brown eyes?

Yes. Most of our range is designed to show up clearly over dark eyes, and product photos are taken on a range of eye colours where possible. Check the individual product photos and description for how a particular shade tends to look on darker eyes before you buy.

How do I choose a colour?

Think about how natural or bold you want the result to look. Lighter, subtler shades tend to blend with most eye colours, while bolder or brighter shades give a more noticeable change. Product photos on each listing show the lens on a model so you can see the effect before you decide.

Can I wear these with prescription lenses or if I have astigmatism?

Our lenses are plano (zero-power) and standard cosmetic lenses, so they are not designed for astigmatism and will not correct your vision. Do not wear a cosmetic lens over the top of a prescription lens in the same eye. If you need vision correction as well as a colour change, speak with an optometrist about prescription coloured lenses, or wear glasses instead while using our lenses.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are dispatched within 1-2 business days. Within Australia, standard shipping takes 2-8 business days (free on orders of $25 and over, otherwise $9.95) and express takes 1-4 business days ($13.95). What if I change my mind after ordering?

Unopened, sealed items can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund, at your cost for return postage. Opened contact lenses cannot be returned for change of mind, for hygiene reasons explained on our Return and Refund Policy. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items are always replaced or refunded, and we cover return postage in that case. Contact admin@muashamaila.com to start a return.
